I have tried removing the USB cable from the laser printer and then reinstalling it, the notification pops up showing that I need a driver to install the HL-2270DW but it will not install any driver for it to work. Every time I configure my printers the Epson is discovered right away but the Brother is not. I have two printers, one is the Brother laser printer, the other a 10 year old Epson ink jet printer that I only use the scanner ever now and then. This printer is only about 5 years old and it is VERY GOOD on toner so I want to keep using it, but for the life of me I cannot figure out why it is so much trouble getting it installed. It has worked many times in the past, I had it working on a PCLOS KDE plasma 5 with kernel 4.11.9 and I recently did a fresh install using 4.11.12 -pclos1 and now once again I am not able to install my printer.
There is no driver available for it in the list within the "Configure your Printer" and it is like pulling teeth to figure out how to get it installed each time I have to do a fresh start over. I have been using PCLOS for several years and everytime I do a fresh install I have to go through a lot of grief trying to get my Brother HL-2270DW laser printer to install.
